Sea stars (because they aren’t biologically fish) are loved by many. Their shape is so familiar to us, yet they remain a bit mysterious. They have come to represent many things to people across the world. In particular though, they are very much associated with regeneration and renewal - they are able to regrow missing limbs and even a whole body from just part of a limb! 
 
Other starry meanings include guidance, protection and light. In Pacific Islander and Native American cultures, they are thought to protect and guide sailors home.  But don’t be fooled into thinking they are just all about being twinkly and ethereal - they are also known as keystone predators in various aquatic ecosystems keeping various other species in check.
Does that mean they have commonality with women - something beautiful and luminescent but not to be messed with!
